| What's New | This update keeps your Toolbox running strong and smooth out on the road. We squashed some bugs, cleaned up a few things under the hood, and made small tweaks to keep everything working just the way you need it. |

Running CRE Toolbox on a desktop computer lets you manage trip records, messages, and pay details from a full keyboard and larger display instead of reaching for your phone every time you need information. The desktop experience keeps your work data accessible during downtime, whether you're checking statements between loads, reviewing dispatch messages, or pulling up trip history without the constraints of mobile-only access. CRE Toolbox on PC offers a persistent workspace where your session stays active and your files remain organized.
CRE Toolbox is designed for C.R. England drivers and independent contractors who need quick access to work records and communication tools outside the cab. On a PC, the app becomes part of your desk setup: a dedicated window it runs open alongside your email, documents, or other tasks. Whether you're filing expense reports, reviewing payment history, or staying connected to dispatch, the larger screen and keyboard make the workflow faster and less error-prone than fumbling through a phone interface.
View Your Work Records and Payment Information
The core purpose of CRE Toolbox is giving you access to your trip history, recorded events, and pay statements whenever you need them. On a computer, you can review these records in detail without zooming in on a small screen, making it easier to spot dates, mileage figures, and payment breakdowns. Desktop access which lets you keep these records open while handling other job-related tasks, reducing the back-and-forth between apps and devices.
Manage Messages and Dispatch Communication
CRE Toolbox centralizes messages from your company and dispatch on one platform. The app supports conversation threads with contacts who have messaged you previously, allowing you to reply and stay updated on routing changes, safety alerts, and scheduling updates. Running the app on a PC with a real keyboard makes typing longer responses faster and more comfortable than mobile texting, and the desktop interface lets you see your full message history without scrolling through a cramped mobile screen.
Stay Informed with Notifications and Alerts
The app sends alerts for incoming messages, safety information, and road-use notifications. On a desktop, notifications appear in a dedicated window rather than interrupting your phone throughout the day, giving you control over when you check updates. This workflow separation (keeping work alerts on your computer and your phone free from constant pings) helps reduce distraction during personal time while ensuring you don't miss important dispatch information when you're at your desk.
A Coordinate Lookup Tool for Route Planning
CRE Toolbox includes location and routing reference features to help you plan trips and verify coordinates. Using these tools on a PC provides better visibility into maps and location data compared to mobile, and you can cross-reference information with other resources open on the same screen. Desktop use lets you prepare routes and review geographic details before hitting the road, reducing the need to solve navigation problems on the fly.
Desktop Setup and Integration
Installing CRE Toolbox on your computer keeps your work profile logged in and ready: no need to unlock your phone or reload the app each time you want to check a trip or payment. The app runs in the background and integrates into your regular work routine, whether you're filling out paperwork, managing finances, or coordinating with office staff. CRE Toolbox for Windows PC becomes a stable reference tool rather than a mobile convenience, improving consistency and reducing login friction during your off-duty hours.

FAQ
Can I use CRE Toolbox on my computer if I also use the company tablet?
CRE Toolbox syncs with your company tablet's driving mode status. If the tablet registers you as actively driving, the mobile app may restrict access to reflect that state. Running CRE Toolbox on a separate PC gives you an independent workspace for viewing records during off-duty time, though both devices are tied to the same account and driving status. Check with your fleet manager about multi-device policies.
Will my login session stay active on a desktop computer?
Desktop installations of CRE Toolbox maintain your session on that specific machine, so you won't need to log in each time you return to check pay or messages. This is one of the main advantages of running the app on a PC: your workspace persists between sessions.
Can I send direct messages to dispatch from the app?
CRE Toolbox enables you to reply within existing conversation threads. If dispatch or another contact has messaged you previously, you can respond in that thread. Initiating a new direct message to a contact who hasn't messaged you yet is not currently supported through the app.
What should I do if CRE Toolbox won't open or shows a bug message?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If the problem persists, contact C.R. England IT support or your fleet manager, as account-level issues or app bugs may require backend assistance.
Can I watch safety videos on CRE Toolbox for computer?
Some users report that video playback buffers or fails to load on the mobile app. Desktop performance may differ, but if video content doesn't load on your system, troubleshoot your internet connection or contact support to confirm whether video features are currently functional.
