Do you want to display live telemetry data from your racing sim on a second screen without fumbling with your phone during a session? DashPanel transforms a tablet or phone into a dedicated dashboard that reads speed, RPM, gear, and dozens of other sim parameters in real time. The app's powerful editor lets you design custom gauge layouts from scratch or modify built-in templates to match your cockpit setup. Running DashPanel on PC unlocks the full breadth of supported racing titles (from Assetto Corsa and iRacing to BeamNG and the Codemasters F1 series) with a single unified client that auto-detects your game and syncs data with minimal fuss.
DashPanel bridges your racing sim and your hardware by creating a live instrument panel on any Android device connected to your computer. Once you install DashPanel for Windows PC and launch the companion server, the app automatically recognizes which sim you're running and begins streaming telemetry. The free demo version displays RPM, speed, and gear; purchasing full data unlocks for each game expands the available widgets to include fuel level, tire temperature, brake pressure, and many more parameters depending on what the sim provides.
Building a Dashboard That Fits Your Setup
The editor is the heart of DashPanel's flexibility. You can drag, resize, and customize gauges to match your preferences, whether you want a minimalist three-dial cluster or a complex multi-panel layout. Because the app works across dozens of supported sims, you design once and reuse layouts across games, or create sport-specific templates for rally, circuit racing, or truck simulation. Changes sync immediately when you save, so tuning your dashboard takes only a few seconds between practice sessions.
How a Typical Session Unfolds
- Launch your racing sim on your PC and start a session or career event.
- Open DashPanel on your tablet or phone; the server detects the running game automatically.
- Select your custom dashboard layout (or use a preset) and position the device within arm's reach.
- Monitor live telemetry as you drive (fuel consumption, gear changes, brake force) without looking away from your monitor.
- Adjust settings or switch layouts between races using the app's quick-access menu.
Supported Games and Data Coverage
DashPanel PC version integrates with a wide range of racing titles spanning multiple platforms and genres. Assetto Corsa, rFactor 1 and 2, Project CARS 1 and 2, Dirt Rally, the Codemasters F1 series (2012–2018), Live For Speed, and many others feed data through the app. Each game provides different widget options based on what telemetry it exposes; some offer basic RPM and speed, while others unlock advanced parameters like suspension damage, tire wear, and brake temperature. This breadth means whether you race open-wheel, rally, stock car, or long-haul trucking sims, DashPanel adapts to your genre.
Configuration and Compatibility
Setup requires minimal configuration once you download DashPanel for computer. The server application pairs with your game automatically in most cases; you create your account, select your game, and begin reading data. If you own multiple racing sims, a single DashPanel install and subscription covers all of them: no need to buy separate apps per title. The editor's learning curve is real (users report it takes time to master), but the payoff is a dashboard that mirrors your exact cockpit layout and displays only the gauges that matter to your driving style.
How to Download and Install DashPanel for PC or MAC:
Select an Android emulator:  There are many free and paid Android emulators available for PC and MAC, few of the popular ones are Bluestacks, Andy OS, Nox, MeMu and there are more you can find from Google.

FAQ
What's the difference between the free demo and paid data unlock?
The demo version reads RPM, speed, and gear for any compatible game. Purchasing a full data unlock for a specific title (via the in-app store) exposes all available widgets: fuel, tire temps, brake pressure, suspension info, and more. Each game's unlock is separate, so you pay only for the sims you race.
Does DashPanel work with consoles like PlayStation or Xbox?
Limited console support exists for certain games: Assetto Corsa runs on PS4, Project CARS supports PS and Xbox, and F1 2017–2018 are PS4/Xbox1 compatible. However, the app works best with PC sims, and console connectivity can be inconsistent. The PC version offers the widest game coverage and most stable data streaming.
Can I use DashPanel with my actual car via OBD2?
No. DashPanel is built exclusively for racing simulators. It reads telemetry data from supported sims only, not real-world vehicle diagnostics or OBD2 hardware.
What should I do if the app crashes or stops reading data after a few minutes?
Check that you've purchased the correct full-data unlock for your game and that the Steam DashPanel server is running on your PC. Ensure your device is on the same network as your computer and that you're logged into the app. If data cuts out during long sessions, try closing and relaunching the app. Support resources are limited, but community guides are available on the Steam platform page.
Can I customize the dashboard layout completely from scratch?
Yes. The editor allows you to build a dashboard from the ground up, placing and sizing any available widget however you prefer. You can also edit the built-in presets to suit your cockpit layout or driving preferences.
