You're mid-shift, juggling maintenance schedules and technical specs across your desk, pulling up e-Doc Browser on your computer keeps aircraft documentation right where you need it, without shuffling between devices or relogging constantly. e-Doc Browser is Airbus's mobile solution for displaying maintenance technical documentation, designed for line mechanics who need quick, reliable access to OEM manuals, job cards, and related materials. Running it on a desktop or laptop lets you reference specs alongside your other work windows, keeping your workflow intact.
e-Doc Browser centralizes access to Airbus and non-Airbus maintenance documentation (IPC, AMM, TSM, SRM, and job cards) all hosted on Airbus Smarter Fleet's cloud platform. On a computer, the app functions as your single reference point for technical material without the interruptions and session timeouts that plague mobile use.
Designed for Maintenance Operations
The app targets line mechanics and maintenance teams who need documentation instantly during aircraft servicing. Rather than consulting paper manuals or navigating fragmented digital sources, e-Doc Browser consolidates everything into one searchable interface. Documentation is stored in the cloud, so you access current versions directly: no local servers required, and no risk of outdated printed specs. This setup reduces reliance on paper while speeding up the time mechanics spend locating the right technical reference.
Cloud-Based Access Without Local Infrastructure
Because documentation lives on Airbus Smarter Fleet's servers, you retrieve materials on demand through your internet connection. On a PC, this means you're not managing storage or syncing local copies across machines. Multiple team members can pull the same current documentation simultaneously, and updates roll out instantly. For larger maintenance operations running e-Doc Browser for Windows PC, this centralized approach simplifies how you keep technical data current across your facility.
Integration Into Desktop Workflows
Running e-Doc Browser on a computer lets you keep it open alongside scheduling software, email, or other operational tools. You can reference a job card while your CMM system or planning dashboard sits in another window. Unlike mobile sessions that time out or require repeated logins, a desktop instance can remain signed in throughout your shift, minimizing friction when you need to quickly pull up a specification or procedure. Keyboard and mouse input make navigating lengthy documents and searching technical content more fluid than touch-based interaction.
Operational Scope and Real Data
The app supports a PDF ebook collection of maintenance materials specific to your airline's fleet. Note that the demonstration data included in the app is for testing only; operational use requires real documentation access and a formal agreement with Airbus for qualified users. Once configured with live data, e-Doc Browser becomes the standard reference tool for your maintenance team, streamlining how mechanics access the materials they need to complete work safely and efficiently.

FAQ
What documentation does e-Doc Browser display?
The app handles Airbus and non-Airbus maintenance technical documentation including IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalog), AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual), TSM (Troubleshooting Manual), SRM (Structural Repair Manual), and job cards. All materials are hosted on Airbus Smarter Fleet's cloud platform and accessed through your internet connection.
Do I need to set up servers or store documentation locally?
No. Documentation is hosted online by Airbus, so you access it directly from the cloud. There's no need to maintain local servers or manage storage on individual devices.
Will I stay logged in on my PC throughout my shift?
Running e-Doc Browser on a computer lets you maintain a single session during your work period, eliminating the frequent logouts that occur on mobile devices. This keeps your workflow uninterrupted.
Can I use e-Doc Browser on my desktop if I'm not an Airbus-qualified user?
The app includes demonstration data for testing. Operational use with real maintenance documentation requires that your airline hold a formal agreement with Airbus and that users be qualified by your organization. Contact your airline's Airbus liaison to confirm access eligibility.
How does running e-Doc Browser on PC help my maintenance team?
A desktop installation lets mechanics keep documentation open alongside scheduling and planning tools on the same screen. Keyboard and mouse input makes searching and navigating technical specs faster than mobile interaction, and a persistent session reduces login interruptions during maintenance operations.
Is the app free to use operationally?
Operational use requires a specific service agreement between your airline and Airbus. The app itself is provided as part of that agreement; contact Airbus directly for licensing and deployment details for your organization.
