What You Get in the App
EWTN bundles several layers of content and tools into one interface:
- Live TV and radio streams from EWTN networks
- Complete RSV-CE Bible text synchronized with dramatic audio narration
- Video and audio libraries spanning doctrine, daily Mass, rosaries, and news
- Playlist builder to hear the New Testament in 40 days or chronological order
- Sleep timer and playback controls for flexible listening sessions
- Program schedule so you know when live broadcasts begin
The Dramatized Bible at the Center
The Truth & Life audio Bible stands as the app's flagship feature. Professional actors (Neal McDonough, Stacy Keach, Kristen Bell, Sean Astin, and dozens more) perform the entire RSV-CE New Testament with sound design and orchestration. The production earned Vatican approval and carries a foreword by Pope Benedict XVI. Installing EWTN on your PC gives you immediate access to the full 22-hour cycle or to free content including the Gospel of Mark voiced by Blair Underwood, plus the complete RSV-CE text. You can jump to any verse and hear it read aloud, or let a custom playlist guide your daily practice. If you enjoy ESV Bible study or work with the Ewe Bible translation in your spiritual life, EWTN complements those approaches with its own authoritative text and dramatic interpretation.
Desktop Integration for Daily Use
Running EWTN on a computer fits naturally into your workflow. You can open the app in one window while managing email or documents in another, pausing to watch a segment of daily programming without disrupting your session. The app remembers your exact place in scripture or a broadcast, so you resume from the same point each time you return. Headphone controls let you play and pause without touching the screen, and the built-in sleep timer fades audio after a set interval: useful when studying scripture or listening to spiritual talks before closing your workday.
Programs and Spiritual Resources
Beyond scripture, EWTN for computer provides access to a catalog of teaching programs, Eucharistic devotion, and Catholic catechesis. Viewers use the app to deepen understanding of doctrine, follow daily rosaries, and stay informed about Church news and events. The schedule feature ensures you don't miss live broadcasts that align with your routine, and the on-demand library letting you explore programs whenever your day permits.
