Do you need to organize league matchups for your group's console or PC football sessions without constantly switching to your phone? Fixture Maker lets you build and manage leagues and tournaments on your desktop, keeping all your team rosters and schedules centrally while you play. The app works well for league creation, giving you freedom to set up as many leagues as you want without arbitrary limits.
Running Fixture Maker on your computer keeps your fixture planning separate from your gaming setup. You can open it alongside your console game or PC football title, reference matchups on a bigger display, and manage multiple leagues without restarting the app each time. A standard desktop keyboard makes entering team names and league details faster than tapping on a phone screen.
Building a League That Stays Put
The core strength of Fixture Maker is league creation. You can add as many teams as you want and generate a full schedule without hitting a team limit: a feature that sets it apart from other fixture apps. Once your league is built, it holds steady on your computer.
How a League Season Unfolds
Setting up your league follows a straightforward path:
- Enter the number of teams participating in your league
- Add each team name into the roster
- Generate the complete match schedule for the season
- View all matchups displayed in a calendar-style or list format
- Reference fixtures during your gaming sessions
Tournament Mode Limitations
Tournament creation remains unreliable. Users report the app closes unexpectedly when building tournaments, forcing them to restart and lose their setup. League mode works consistently, but tournament functionality has significant stability issues that make it unsuitable for knockout-style competitions.
Known Fixture Issues
Even within successful leagues, matchup balance shows problems. Some users notice certain teams play only home matches while others play only away matches throughout the season, rather than alternating fairly. This imbalance affects the competitive integrity of football fixtures and results you're trying to organize. The app also lacks options to assign specific dates and days to matches: you get the schedule structure but no calendar integration.
When to Use Fixture Maker
This tool works best if your group plays casual console or PC football games and wants a reliable way to track league standings and upcoming opponents. Install Fixture Maker on PC if you're running multiple simultaneous leagues and need them all accessible from one device. It excels at basic league organization but should not be your choice for tournament play until the crashing issues are resolved.

FAQ
Does Fixture Maker work better on desktop than on a phone?
Yes. The larger screen makes entering teams easier, and keeping it open on your computer while you play means you don't have to pick up your phone every time you need to check the next fixture. Keyboard input is faster for adding team names and managing multiple leagues at once.
Can I create unlimited leagues?
Yes, there is no limit on the number of leagues you can create and keep open in Fixture Maker, unlike many competing apps in this category.
Why does my app close when I try to make a tournament?
Tournament mode has a persistent bug that causes the app to crash during setup. League creation is stable, but tournament play is not recommended until this issue is fixed in a future update.
Can I add dates and times to matches?
No. Fixture Maker generates match schedules but does not include options to assign specific dates, days, or kick-off times to individual fixtures. You'll need to organize timing separately.
How do I fix the home and away imbalance in my league?
This is a known issue: some teams end up playing all home matches or all away matches instead of alternating. There is no current setting to correct this within the app. You may need to manually adjust the schedule or wait for a future patch.
