Imagine sitting at your desk and pulling up live data from your PV system without reaching for your phone. KOSTAL Solar App on your computer gives you that convenience. The app monitors your PIKO IQ or PLENTICORE plus inverter, displaying real-time DC yield, grid feed-in, and household energy use alongside your other open windows. You'll see graphical representations of live data updated via WLAN, plus historical yields across day, week, month, and year views when your system is registered with the PIKO Solar Portal.
KOSTAL Solar App for Windows PC centralizes your solar monitoring in one place. Whether you're tracking energy production patterns or checking battery storage levels on a PIKO BA System, the app brings essential inverter insights to your desktop. Running KOSTAL Solar App on PC means you can keep detailed performance records open while managing other household or business tasks.
Viewing Live System Performance
The Live view shows critical metrics updated continuously over WLAN. You monitor DC yield in real time and track how much electric current flows into the public grid. If your setup includes a PIKO BA Sensor, you also see household energy consumption and which sources (your PV system, public grid, or battery) cover that demand at any moment.
How a Monitoring Session Flows
When you run KOSTAL Solar App on your computer, your session typically unfolds like this:
- Open the app and authenticate with your username and password from the web server configuration.
- Check the Live view to see current DC yield and grid feed-in values refreshed via WLAN.
- Review household energy use and battery status if you have PIKO BA equipment installed.
- Switch to the History section to examine graphical data for any time period: day, week, month, or year.
- Export or analyze stored trends drawn from the PIKO Solar Portal or direct inverter connection.
Data Sources and Setup
KOSTAL Solar App pulls live data via direct WLAN connection from your PIKO inverter. Historical data comes from the PIKO Solar Portal when your system is registered there, or it can be obtained by direct connection if you prefer not to use the portal. Configuration happens automatically if you provide your email and password during setup, or manually via the app's options menu using credentials you've set on your inverter's web server.
