You're tracking inventory across your warehouse and need to log dozens of items without switching between devices. MotoScan brings data-capture tools to your Windows or Mac machine, letting you manage barcode scanning, text entry, and photo documentation from a single workspace. The app handles receive, shipping, move, inventory, and price-check scenarios: all configurable to fit your operation.
MotoScan is a ready-made toolbox designed for warehousing, field service, and inventory work. Running MotoScan on PC lets you set up and configure your data-capture workflows on a full-size screen, then deploy the same settings across your team's devices. The app works with integrated scanners on Zebra or Symbol Android hardware, and also supports camera-based scanning on standard phones. When you're documenting received goods, checking prices, or tracking inventory, MotoScan centralizes your setup.
Core Scenarios and Configuration
MotoScan comes with five built-in scenarios: Receive, Shipping, Move, Inventory, and Price Check. Each scenario is ready to use straight out of the box, but the real power lies in customization. Using the web portal at Moto-Scan.com, you can adapt menus, text, and workflows to match your company's language and operational needs. The Price Check menu, for example, lets you look up pricing data by barcode: a feature useful across industries, from standard warehousing to specialized applications like MotoScan for BMW Motorcycles, where detailed parts tracking is essential.
Data Capture and Photo Documentation
MotoScan supports multiple input methods: barcode scanning, manual text and number entry, and image capture. For maintenance and receiving workflows, the photo documentation feature is built in, so your team can keep visual proof of work completed or goods arrived. All data flows to your FTP server or Dropbox account. Local buffering allows offline registration: your team can keep logging entries even without Wi-Fi or mobile signal, and MotoScan automatically uploads the data once connectivity returns.
Desktop Management and Branding
Sitting at a desktop while you configure MotoScan for your operation makes the entire setup process smoother. You can brand the app with your own name and customize lookups that serve your warehouse, store, maintenance, or routing requirements. All configuration happens through the web portal after you log in, so your changes sync across devices. This setup-once approach means you spend less time on each device and more time running your operation.
