Parents who monitor their child's school progress on a phone face constant navigation friction, toggling between apps, squinting at small data, and managing login sessions on the go. My School on PC moves that workflow to a full desktop, where the app stays a browser tab open all day, use your keyboard to navigate faster, and view detailed grade information across a larger canvas without the mobile app's cramped interface. The desktop version of My School connects you to real-time assessment updates from teachers, letting you stay informed about your child's academic standing without the login headaches that plague the mobile experience.
Running My School on PC changes how you engage with your child's academic data. Instead of reopening the app each time you want to check progress, the app stays the web portal open in a browser window alongside your email, calendar, or other work. This shift in platform means fewer interruptions to your session, steadier access to grade information, and support for review charts and reports without restarting the login cycle.
Staying Connected to Your Child's Learning
My School gives you access to school progress tracking the moment a teacher submits a grade. Rather than waiting for report cards, you see real-time updates about how your child is performing across subjects. The app displays summary information that feeds into formal reports, but on the desktop version of My School, you can dig deeper into the data. Parents can view progress charts that break down your child's performance visually, making it easier to spot which subjects are strong and where encouragement or support might help.
Desktop Convenience for Busy Parents
On a computer, you avoid the friction of mobile-only workflows. Typing passwords and navigating menus happens faster with a physical keyboard than on a phone screen. My School for Windows PC lets you keep your session active throughout your day, if you're working, managing household tasks, or checking in during lunch. You don't have to close and reopen the app repeatedly, which eliminates one of the most common frustrations users report about the mobile experience: the need to log out and back in whenever your child moves to a new grade level or your password changes.
Understanding What the Data Shows
A grade book holds far more detail than a report card, and My School bridges that gap by letting parents see the fuller picture of student performance monitoring. Teachers record individual assessments, but only summaries appear on formal cards. On PC, you can review how your child performed on each assignment or test in near real-time, helping you celebrate successes and work together on areas that need improvement. This visibility helps you stay aligned with your child's learning journey and the school's teaching cycle.
School Access and Compatibility
My School works with schools using Complete SMS and its newer iteration, CEA. Before you install My School on PC, verify that your child's school is listed on www.myschooljamaica.com. Once you confirm, the desktop platform provides a more stable way to access your account. Some parents find that using a consistent computer for login avoids the repeated authentication issues that mobile sessions sometimes trigger, especially when passwords change or your child advances to a new grade level.

FAQ
Why should I use My School on PC instead of the mobile app?
The desktop version lets you keep a persistent login session without repeatedly entering credentials, use a keyboard for faster navigation, and review grade information on a bigger screen. Many parents find that opening My School in a browser tab and checking it throughout the day is less disruptive than reopening a mobile app.
Do I need to create a new account for the PC version?
No. My School on PC uses the same login credentials as the mobile app. You access the web portal directly through your browser using your existing username and password.
What happens when my child moves to a new grade level?
After your child advances, you may need to log out and back in for the new grade to load properly in the system. Once at least one grade is uploaded by a teacher for the new level, you should see the updated information on PC.
Can I view my child's academic progress in real time?
Yes. Assessments recorded by teachers appear in My School the moment they are submitted. On a desktop, you can refresh your browser tab throughout the day to see the latest updates without the delays or session interruptions that sometimes affect mobile use.
What should I do if I forget my password?
Use the password recovery option on the login page. Be aware that changing your password may require you to log out and back in for the new credentials to fully sync across the system: a process that is simpler on a computer than on a phone.
Is My School free to use?
Yes, as long as your child's school uses the Complete SMS or CEA platform and is registered with COMSOL Education. Verify your school's participation at www.myschooljamaica.com before you start.
