Do you want to analyze your cycling data on a desktop display after your ride? ROTOR Power brings real-time power meter tracking and detailed performance metrics on your computer, letting you review training sessions with the full breadth of your ride data at hand. Built to sync with ROTOR's compatible power meters and heart rate monitors via Bluetooth, this cycling app captures every watt, cadence reading, and GPS point during your ride, and stores them for deeper study once you're home.

Running ROTOR Power on your PC alters how you process training data. Instead of squinting at summary stats on a phone screen, you can open the app on your desktop alongside spreadsheet tools, web browsers, or training software, keeping all your cycling analysis in one workspace. The app logs every metric from your power meter in real time, and once a ride ends, you download the session file on your computer for further breakdown of your strengths and weaknesses.

Core Ride Tracking and Metrics

ROTOR Power records live power data, heart rate, and GPS position while you're pedaling. You customize multiple data screens to show exactly which metrics matter most during a ride, whether that's average power, cadence, or heart rate zones. The app saves all session information in a .fit file, a standard format that desktop analysis software can open and import. After your ride, you'll have a complete training summary available within the app, ready to review on your computer whenever you want to dig into performance details.

Pedal Stroke Analysis and Efficiency

One distinctive feature is TORQUE 360, which displays your actual pedal stroke while you're riding. This visualization shows whether your stroke is smooth or piston-like, and reveals the angle at which you apply the most force during each rotation. For riders using ROTOR's 2INpower meter with Q-Rings, the app helps you determine which ring position suits your natural pedaling mechanics best. By moving ROTOR Power on your computer after a ride, you can review these stroke patterns in detail and compare them across multiple sessions.

Training Modes for Structured Workouts

The app includes Basic and Advanced Training Modes ported directly from ROTOR's desktop software. Basic Training displays linear graphs of your power metrics in real time, giving you the ability to monitor how balanced and efficient your legs are during effort. These graphical readouts help you spot imbalances between left and right leg power output, a key metric for cycling performance. On your PC, you can leave these graphs open while riding on a stationary trainer, or review them afterward to spot trends in your training load.

Setup, History, and File Export

Before your first ride, ROTOR Power walks you through pairing your power meter and heart rate sensor, configuring your user profile, selecting language and metric units, and setting which data fields appear on your screens. Once rides are logged, you access your full training history within the app. You can download session files on your computer as .fit format for compatibility with most cycling software, or as Excel files for custom analysis and record-keeping. This desktop workflow lets you maintain a long-term training log without relying on the phone alone.

FAQ

What is ROTOR Power on PC and do I need the app on my phone too?

ROTOR Power is a cycling data app designed to work with ROTOR power meters and heart rate monitors. You record rides on your phone while pedaling, then transfer the files on your computer for analysis and storage. Running the app on your PC lets you view and manage your ride history, download session files, and examine performance data on a desktop screen alongside other tools.

Which ROTOR power meters are compatible?

Currently, ROTOR Power officially supports the 2INpower meter. The app connects via Bluetooth to your power meter and heart rate monitor, so you'll need a device with Bluetooth 4.0 or later and Android 4.4 or higher if you're using it on a phone first.

Can I get accurate altitude and grade data with ROTOR Power?

Altitude, grade, ascent, and descent data rely on your phone's barometer sensor. Smartphones without a built-in barometer will show less precise elevation values. GPS speed and location data are recorded regardless, though continuous GPS in the background can reduce battery life significantly.

What file formats does ROTOR Power export, and can I use them elsewhere?

ROTOR Power saves ride data as .fit files, a widely supported format that desktop cycling software can import and analyze. You can also export session data as Excel files for custom review and record-keeping on your computer.

Do I need ANT+ support or only Bluetooth?

ROTOR Power currently connects via Bluetooth only. If your devices support ANT+ but not Bluetooth, you would need an adapter or alternative wireless setup; the app does not natively support ANT+ at this time.
