What's New- Minor bugs fixed

SIGMA LINK synchronizes cycling data between your bike computer and smartphone, but running it on a Windows PC or Mac opens up a larger workspace for reviewing trip statistics, managing track files, and organizing your riding history without constantly switching devices. The app connects to compatible SIGMA bike computers via NFC or Bluetooth, pulling in ride details, distance records, and performance metrics that you can then review, archive, or share to training platforms: all from a proper desktop window where you can see more data at once and keep related apps open alongside.

SIGMA LINK on PC version reshapes how you manage cycling data after a ride. Instead of squinting at phone-sized views or fumbling through mobile menus, you get a full-screen interface for sorting through your trip logs, checking statistics, and preparing activities for sharing. Installing SIGMA LINK for Windows PC means your bike computer data flows directly to a single trusted machine, where it stays organized and backed up.

Core Functions on Desktop

The app's main features work the same on PC as mobile:

  • Download trip data from your bike computer to view tracks and ride summaries
  • Review distance, time, elevation, and other basic statistics for each activity
  • Share completed rides to Strava, TrainingPeaks, and 2 Peak platforms
  • Manage incoming call notifications and smart alerts during training sessions
  • Import tracks from GPSIES and transfer them to your ROX GPS 11.0 device
  • Access older SIGMA computer data through the SIGMA CLOUD if you own legacy equipment

PC Setup and Data Organization

A desktop installation of SIGMA LINK for computer keeps your cycling records in one place. When you sit down at your machine after a ride, you can browse your complete history without syncing across multiple devices. The app requires a compatible bike computer: primarily the NFC-enabled BC 14.16, BC 16.16, or BC 23.16 models, or the ROX GPS 11.0 via Bluetooth connection. If you own an older SIGMA computer, you can still pull historical data by connecting through the SIGMA CLOUD service. Real keyboard input and a mouse make filing, tagging, and organizing rides faster than mobile touch navigation.

Connectivity and Transfers

SIGMA LINK communicates with your bike computer in two ways. Newer SIGMA models use NFC: you hold your phone or, with an NFC-capable PC, position the device near the bike computer to transfer data wirelessly. The ROX GPS 11.0 uses Bluetooth Smart for a stable, hands-free link. Once connected, data flows directly into the app, where you can review the full route map and all statistics before deciding whether to upload or share. Users report that the connection works most reliably when moving the phone or device slowly within a few centimeters of the bike computer, rather than holding it perfectly still.

Limitations and Current Issues

Reviews reveal significant stability problems. The app frequently fails to load ride data correctly: for example, truncating a 25-mile ride to 7 miles, or cutting activities partway through during upload to Strava. Connection failures and crashes are common, especially with longer activities over 100 kilometers or lasting more than three hours. Compatibility issues vary by phone model and Android version; the same app version may work smoothly on one device and fail repeatedly on another. Some users have also reported that activity data sent to Strava appears incomplete, regardless of whether they share through the app or a paired desktop program. These problems make SIGMA LINK unpredictable for daily use, despite its solid conceptual design.

How to Download and Install SIGMA LINK for PC or MAC:

Select an Android emulator:  There are many free and paid Android emulators available for PC and MAC, few of the popular ones are Bluestacks, Andy OS, Nox, MeMu and there are more you can find from Google.

Compatibility:  Before downloading them take a look at the minimum system requirements to install the emulator on your PC.

For example,  BlueStacks requires OS: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows XP SP3 (32-bit only), Mac OS Sierra(10.12), High Sierra (10.13) and Mojave(10.14), 2-4GB of RAM, 4GB of disk space for storing Android apps/games, updated graphics drivers.

Finally, download and install the emulator which will work well with your PC's hardware/software.

  1. Open the emulator software from the start menu or desktop shortcut in your PC.
  2. Associate or set up your Google account with the emulator.
  3. You can either install the app from Google PlayStore inside the emulator or download SIGMA LINK APK file and open the APK file with the emulator or drag the file into the emulator window to install SIGMA LINK for PC.

You can follow above instructions to install SIGMA LINK for PC with any of the Android emulators available.

FAQ

Does SIGMA LINK work with all bike computers?

No. NFC connection works only with BC 14.16, BC 16.16, and BC 23.16 models. The ROX GPS 11.0 connects via Bluetooth Smart. Older SIGMA computers can be synced through the SIGMA CLOUD service, but direct phone-to-device transfers are limited to those specific models.

Why does my activity data show the wrong distance?

Data loading errors are a known issue. Rides may display as significantly shorter than recorded, or upload incomplete to Strava. The cause is app-side; restarting or reinstalling typically does not resolve it. Try syncing multiple times, and verify the bike computer recorded the correct distance independently.

What should I do if the NFC connection keeps failing?

Move the phone slowly within 2–3 centimeters of the bike computer, rather than holding it still. Slight side-to-side motion and gentle repositioning improve connection stability. If the app still fails to detect the computer after several attempts, restart the app and try again.

Can I share my rides to other platforms besides Strava?

Yes. SIGMA LINK supports sharing to TrainingPeaks and 2 Peak in addition to Strava. However, recent reviews report bugs in Strava sharing: the app sometimes fails to upload the full activity or shows only partial data once shared.

Is SIGMA LINK free, and does it require an internet connection?

The app itself is free. It does not require internet for basic data download and local storage, but uploading to Strava, TrainingPeaks, or 2 Peak requires an active connection. Importing tracks from GPSIES also requires internet access.
