Storyteller for PC
Reviewed by Apps Playground Editorial Team · Updated

Storyteller is an entertainment app that curates classic children's stories in video form, letting you browse and play narrated adaptations without typing titles or searching. Running Storyteller on PC delivers a dedicated hub for story time on a bigger display, keeping your computer set up as a central screen while kids watch and listen to familiar tales like Cinderella, Peter Pan, and The Wizard of Oz.
Storyteller functions as a browser for classic stories, each linked to video versions on YouTube. Rather than searching for content manually, you pick from a curated list and the app handles the navigation. This setup works especially well on a desktop, where you can leave the window open alongside other applications and return to it throughout the day without re-entering search terms.
How the Story Finder Works
Storyteller organizes its collection by categories, with a focus on classic tales. The app includes:
- Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk
- The Frog Prince, The Three Little Pigs, Peter Pan
- Thumbelina, The Wizard of Oz, Aladdin
- The Ugly Duckling, Pinocchio, The Snow Queen
- Heidi Girl of the Alps, The Giving Tree, Gulliver's Travels
- Stories in English, spoken and narrated for listening
Why Video Reduces Friction for Young Viewers
Storyteller redirects to YouTube videos, which means tapping a story title skips the step of typing or searching. For small children, this direct pathway removes barriers: they can start watching without needing to spell or find content themselves. Having Storyteller on your computer means the app stays open and ready; you're not hunting for videos each time. Install the YouTube app alongside Storyteller for the smoothest playback experience.
Free Access with Ads
Storyteller is free and supported by advertisements. No subscription or purchase is required to browse and play the full collection of classic stories.
