Update: If you’re looking for the latest Talking Friends apps, including Tom, Angela and Ginger’s latest releases, check our Talking Friends category.
Tens of millions of children (and a fair few grown-ups) are playing with the Talking Friends apps, including Talking Tom Cat and Talking Ginger. Now they’ve got a new female friend: Talking Angela.
If you’ve played with some of those other apps by developer Outfit7, you’ll know the drill. Angela is a cartoon cat who your children can interact with on-screen by talking and touching.
Speak into the microphone, and she’ll squeakily repeat your words. But you can also press buttons to give her virtual gifts, change her appearance and get her to read a fortune cookie.
For slightly older children, there’s also a text-chat feature where they can type in questions for Angela, and see her answer – a feature we’ve seen before when Angela first appeared in a different app called Tom Loves Angela.
As with other Outfit7 apps, Talking Angela is free, so be aware that there are likely to be ads and in-app purchases available, although usually you can turn the ads off by paying a small amount in-app.
Talking Angela is a free download from the App Store, with one version for iPhone and iPod touch, and another for iPad.
