Sago Sago launches its second app: Sago Mini Forest Flyer

We wrote about the first app from Sago Sago last week: Sago Mini Sound Box. It’s quickly followed up with another playful app for toddlers: Sago Mini Forest Flyer.

This time round, a colourful bird named Robin is the hero. And yes, he’s flying through the forest, as you may have surmised from the app’s title.

“Discover the magical forest together as you soar through the sky, splash in the pond, do a little dance, and make new friends. This open-ended play experience is loaded with exciting surprises,” explains its App Store listing.

Sago Sago says there are more than 20 animations for kids to discover. But almost as important is the fact that there’s no storyline: encouraging children to make up their own (or demand that you do) for what Robin is up to.

With no in-app purchases or third-party ads – ‘third-party’ means other companies, so you may see promotions for Sago Sago’s other apps – Sago Mini Forest Flyer costs 69p on the App Store in a 50%-off launch offer, and runs on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The company is actually part of popular children’s app-maker Toca Boca, and has made a strong start with its first two toddler-focused apps. We’re looking forward to seeing what else they come up with in the months ahead.
