There are plenty of things going bump in the night on the app stores this month, in anticipation of Halloween. Haunted House by StoryToys is the latest spooktacular app for kids.

It’s pitched as an activity book, so it’s more about mini-games than a lengthy story. There are eight pop-up scenes – as with other StoryToys apps, it looks like a pop-up book – with pumpkins, ghosts, vampires and monsters all over the shop.

“Meet the monsters, play the games, then complete the challenges to win spooktastic badges and stars,” explains its app store listing.

Haunted House costs £1.49 for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store, and £1.99 for Android on the Google Play store. It uses in-app purchases too: a single payment of £1.99 to unlock all its features. Here’s a video demo:
