We really liked developer Audois & Alleuil Editions’ The Poppin Princess app, so we’re pleased to see them returning with another children’s app: Pierrot Pierrette.
Released this week, it’s the story of a boy called Pierrot, whose friend Pierrette starts the tale in a state of sadness. His job is to cure her by travelling to the Moon to find a moonflower.
We won’t spoil the plot by telling you what happens next, but suffice to say, it’s not as simple as simply wandering to the Moon to pick the flower in question.
It’s a charming 14-page story with interactivity including drawing trees, planting stars and turning your iPad into a virtual snow-globe.
Pierrot Pierrette is a free download for iPad from Apple’s App Store. And yes, the screenshot is in French, but it also has English, Spanish and Italian translations – so may also be fun for children who are learning one of those languages.
