There’s a real buzz in the air around the classic Peanuts characters at the moment, thanks to a new TV show and upcoming film based on Charlie Brown, Snoopy and friends.

Now there’s a new app too: Snoopy’s All Star Football. Released by developer Cupcake Digital, it’s a new Peanuts story “filled with football, friends, and of course Snoopy!”

Obviously, we’re talking American football here: a Sunday match pitting boys against girls, with all the Peanuts gang getting involved.

So yes, it’s a story – with voice narration and highlighted text to help children read along – but also a bit of a game, since children can play quarterback and try to pass their way through 20 levels to win the match.

If you have some little Peanuts fans – and also if you have fond memories of the original comic strips, books and/or TV shows, it looks great fun.
