The original Toca Kitchen was many parents’ first experience of Toca Boca, the Swedish developer that’s become one of the most trusted sources of children’s apps over the past few years.
Now it’s got a fully-fledged sequel: Toca Kitchen 2, which was released for iPhone and iPad this week. As before, it’s all about cooking up a feast for an on-screen character who won’t be scared to show their approval – or their disapproval.
“Who said dishes have to be pretty and tasty? In Toca Kitchen 2 you can cook however you want! Juice tomatoes, boil the salad or make a burger,” explains its App Store listing. “Come up with your very own recipes and treat your guests to something special.”
There are more guests to feed this time round, and five kitchen tools, with a new juicer and oven. That listing promises “stronger character reactions” too, so it should be fun finding out what they love and loathe.
Toca Kitchen 2 costs £0.69 for iPhone and iPad – that’s an introductory price, so it may well be more expensive if you’re reading this story later in December, or sometime in 2015.
