You can’t keep a good monster down. Sesame Street’s Elmo has returned to the App Store with a new iPad app: Elmo’s Neighbourhood.

Released under Sesame Street’s “S’More” brand, it’s an educational app with 10 activities based on Elmo, his friends and their local area.

“Visit with Elmo, Grover, Ernie, and more of your favourite friends,” explains its App Store listing. “Play games; finish mazes; read stories & riddles. Colour pictures & make sticker scenes. Earn badges as you learn skills and complete activities.”

This being an official Sesame Street app, it’s got proper character voices – including our fave, the Count. Children can also create their own song, play Eye-Spy with the letter A, and build dinosaurs. There’s also a story, mazes and plenty of other interactive fun.
