I can’t get enough of Adventure Time, Regular Show and other Cartoon Network shows at the moment. Thankfully, my children agree, or I’d have to find another excuse for watching them.
If your kids are also fans of the channel, and if you or they use Android devices, here’s something well worth checking out: the Cartoon Network Humble Bundle.
Humble what? Humble Bundle is a website that sells “bundles” of games using a pay-what-you-like model: you decide how much you want to pay for the bundle, but more games are thrown in if you pay more than a certain amount and/or more than the average paid by other people.
Cartoon Network’s bundle collects together various Android games based on its shows. Four, initially: Regular Show: Best Park in the Universe; Regular Show: Ghost Toasters; Regular Show: Ride ‘Em Rigby; and Adventure Time: Treasure Fetch.
Pay more than $8, and you get Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, Adventure Time: Time Tangle and The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville as well. And if you pay more than the average (currently $6.14) you get four more games: Regular Show: The Great Prank War; Adventure Time: Jumping Finn Turbo; CN Superstar Soccer and Ski Safari: Adventure Time.
So, as things stand, if you pay more than $8, you get 11 games, which is pretty good value. You can also choose how much of your payment goes to the developers of the games, to partner charities Khan Academy and Child’s Play, and to the people who run Humble Bundle itself.
Oh, and if Cartoon Network’s not you or your child’s thing, perhaps check out the other current Humble Bundle for Star Wars, although those games are more for adults.
