Qu-You belongs to the specialist category of audio software that tethers your monitor mix to a wireless network rather than a dedicated mixing console. As a band member or sound engineer, you gain independent control over your own in-ear mix without walking back to the main desk, and running it on a PC lets you keep that control within arm's reach at your workstation, logged in and ready across multiple sessions without reconnecting. The app connects via Wi-Fi to Allen & Heath Qu-16, Qu-24, Qu-32, Qu-Pac, or Qu-SB mixers running compatible firmware, giving you fader-level tweaks, mute toggles, and EQ adjustment from a keyboard-accessible interface instead of fumbling with a mobile device on stage.

Qu-You for Windows PC changes how you shape your personal monitor mix during performances and rehearsals. Instead of sharing a single mixing screen or stepping away from your station, you gain a dedicated desktop window where your mix lives: login persists, the interface stays visible alongside other apps, and you avoid the cramped mobile layout that limits Android's functionality compared to iOS versions. Below are the core capabilities that make desktop control practical for band leaders and sound operators alike.

Personal Mix Control Without Leaving Your Station

Qu-You lets you assign up to four groups of sources to trim wheels and create a dedicated 'Me' group for instant access to your own channels. You can choose which monitor mix to control (Qu Mix 1–10, or Groups 1–8 in mix mode), view channel numbers and level meters, and adjust send levels and pan settings. The app also handles master-level control, muting, and parametric EQ adjustment on your chosen mix, as well as graphic EQ and compressor settings when needed.

Core Features and Controls

The app delivers the following capabilities for on-site mixing:

  • Select and control up to ten monitor mixes plus eight group outputs
  • Name and organize source groups for fast recall during a session
  • Lock the mix and processing to prevent accidental changes mid-performance
  • Apply parametric and graphic equalization to your monitor output
  • Adjust compressor settings on your chosen mix without console access
  • Set login password protection if enabled on your Qu mixer

Multi-Device Setup and Network Flexibility

A single Qu mixer can support up to seven devices running Qu-You plus an iPad running Qu-Pad simultaneously, meaning your band members can each tune their own monitor mix over the same Wi-Fi network. Once you install Qu-You on PC, you're not tethered to mobile limitations: you can stay signed in on a desktop session indefinitely, pull up your mix between songs or soundchecks, and adjust levels without the disruption of launching a smartphone app. Qu-You does not carry audio itself; it only sends control data wirelessly to your mixer, so network bandwidth remains light and reliable.

Compatibility and Setup Requirements

Qu-You on PC works with Qu-16, Qu-24, Qu-32, Qu-Pac, and Qu-SB consoles running V1.9 firmware or later. Your setup requires the Qu mixer connected to a wireless router or access point on its network port. The app firmware version and mixer firmware version do not need to match exactly: for example, Qu-You V1.90 runs with Qu mixer V1.91, giving you flexibility across minor updates. Before you download Qu-You for computer use, confirm your mixer is on a compatible firmware version and that your wireless network reaches your workspace.

How to Download and Install Qu-You for PC or MAC:

Select an Android emulator:  There are many free and paid Android emulators available for PC and MAC, few of the popular ones are Bluestacks, Andy OS, Nox, MeMu and there are more you can find from Google.

Compatibility:  Before downloading them take a look at the minimum system requirements to install the emulator on your PC.

For example,  BlueStacks requires OS: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows XP SP3 (32-bit only), Mac OS Sierra(10.12), High Sierra (10.13) and Mojave(10.14), 2-4GB of RAM, 4GB of disk space for storing Android apps/games, updated graphics drivers.

Finally, download and install the emulator which will work well with your PC's hardware/software.

  1. Open the emulator software from the start menu or desktop shortcut in your PC.
  2. Associate or set up your Google account with the emulator.
  3. You can either install the app from Google PlayStore inside the emulator or download Qu-You APK file and open the APK file with the emulator or drag the file into the emulator window to install Qu-You for PC.

You can follow above instructions to install Qu-You for PC with any of the Android emulators available.

FAQ

Can I control the main mix output from Qu-You, or just my personal monitor mix?

Qu-You is designed for monitor mixing only. You control your own in-ear or monitor sends from the console, not the main left-right output that audiences hear. If you need to adjust the main mix, you must return to the physical console or use the Qu-Pad iPad app if one is available.

How many people can use Qu-You at the same time on one Qu mixer?

Up to seven devices running Qu-You can connect to the same mixer simultaneously, plus one iPad running Qu-Pad. This means your entire band can tune their personal mixes independently over the same network.

What happens if my Wi-Fi network drops while I'm using Qu-You?

Qu-You requires a live Wi-Fi connection to the mixer to send control commands. If the connection drops, you lose remote control until the network reconnects. This is why confirming stable wireless coverage at your venue before a performance is important.

Do I need to be online to the internet to use Qu-You?

No. Qu-You communicates only with your Qu mixer over your local Wi-Fi network. You do not need an internet connection, which makes it ideal for venues with limited connectivity or for keeping your setup isolated from external networks.

Can I use Qu-You on both Android and PC at the same time?

Yes, as long as both devices connect to the same Wi-Fi network and the Qu mixer has firmware V1.9 or later. You can have Qu-You running on your PC and on a phone simultaneously, each controlling the same monitor mix or separate mixes depending on your workflow.

Will Qu-You for Windows work on older Windows versions?

Refer to the Allen & Heath website for the latest system requirements and any known compatibility issues with specific Windows versions. App compatibility can vary based on your operating system build and Wi-Fi driver updates.
