Farm 123 – StoryToys Jr uses the same basic technology – virtual pop-up books where you turn the pages and play with the different elements – for more directly educational purposes. Learning to count, specifically.

The book is aimed at toddlers learning the numbers 1-10, teaching them with the help of Farmer Jo and a farm-full of animals. It’s a mixture of interactive story-scenes and mini-games, complete with stars to earn as your child progresses.

We’ve been having a play, and are suitably impressed. Farm 123 costs £1.49 on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
