The company is making a name for itself with beautiful, playful apps for children. Toca Train is the latest.
It’s a big step for Toca Boca, since it’s the company’s first app to be properly 3D. As the name implies, you’re driving a train (well, your children are, but you’ll be sneaking crafty goes too, we suspect). It’s aimed at 3-7 year-olds.
The train steams round the track, stopping at stations and picking up passengers and cargo. Yes, you can pull a lever to let off its whistle – the first feature we looked for. As ever, there are no specific goals. As Toca Boca explains:
“Toca Train is not a game – it’s a toy where you and your kids decide what you want to do. Where do passengers want to get off? At what stop should you unload the crate of pears? Your kids imagination is the only limitation! Just like a toy train set.”
Toca Train is a universal app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and it costs £1.49. Well worth the money, we think.
