Louie’s app wants to teach kids to draw and write

Oh, we miss Louie. Our children used to love the French cartoon when it aired on CBeebies here in the UK, but it’s not on air at the moment.

The theme song (“Draw us a picture Louie…”) still pops back into our brains from time to time.

Well, Louie has his own iPad app, just released in the App Store. It’s by Millimages, and is called Louie teach me to draw and write.

The app has already topped the charts in France, but now it’s seemingly available in an English-language version.

It stars all the characters from the show, with interactive activities that are a mixture of drawing, painting and writing words – all using the iPad’s touchscreen interface, obviously. It looks good fun, and costs £2.49 on the App Store.

Oh, and if Louie is new to you, here’s a video (complete with that theme song):
