Rise of the Guardians is movie studio DreamWorks Animation’s big animated blockbuster this Christmas, starring Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny AND the Tooth Fairy, among other fantasy characters.

Now there’s an official iPhone and iPad game to accompany the movie: DreamWorks Dash n Drop.

It’s very Christmassy, too, as you dash through the sky in a magical sleigh collecting and delivering presents, while also picking up elves and coins, and avoiding “evil Nightmare creatures”. We’re guessing this all ties into the plot of the film.

It looks fun, and it’s from a developer called PikPok who made one of my all-time favourite dad-apps, Flick Kick Football. I’m willing to believe their sleigh-riding skills are also impressive.

Dreamworks Dash n Drop costs 69p on the App Store, and runs on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

That said, it also uses in-app purchases (IAP) to buy more of the in-game coins, which can upgrade your character’s powers. So be on top of your IAP settings if you’re worried your child may be tempted to clean out your bank account in order to pimp their sleigh!
