RockaBub app aims to help parents whose children have sleep problems

Our first child eased his way into a regular sleep pattern without a hitch. Our second child, though, gave us a shocking couple of years with night-waking (and yelling, screaming…)

They were bad times, and we tried lots of things to help him get a better night’s sleep. An app like RockaBub, which has just come out for iPhone, might have been a comfort too.

It’s the work of an Australian company called Safe Sleep Space, which has a system for helping parents in this situation. The app outlines some of the elements.

“The Health Professionals who developed RockaBub have worked with literally thousands of sleep challenged babies and toddlers and now share their wisdom with families in this app,” explains its App Store listing.

This is a free app, but you pay via in-app purchase for the different sections. So, the bit on birth to four months (with 15 videos and text on understanding babies and sleep, plus steps for helping them settle) costs £1.99. It’s the same price for the sections on 4-8 months and 8-12 months, while 1-3 Years Cot & Bed costs £2.49, but has more videos and content.

We found this App really useful as we now get a full nite sleep after so many months of having trouble settling our baby girl. The App was a little difficult to load at first but we simply did a soft close - and reloaded without an issue. Well recommended for all those parents suffering from sleepless nights.
