Nosy Crow’s Cinderella app dropping to 69p… on Valentine’s Day

Nosy Crow’s beautiful Cinderella remains one of our favourite children’s book-apps, a year and a half since its launch in September 2011. So here’s some good news: it’s going cheap – but only for a day.

The publisher has announced that Cinderella will cost just 69p (that’s 99 cents if you’re in the US) this Thursday to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

“Our app may deviate from some versions of the story in a few ways – this Prince likes Cinderella because she’s kind and friendly, rather than just beautiful, and these stepsisters are “mean” rather than “ugly” – but it’s still a very traditional telling of the tale,” explains Nosy Crow on its blog.

“We’re very proud to have made a sort of Cinderella story that appeals to both boys and girls – and which has won armfuls of awards for doing so.”

You can find Cinderella here on the App Store at its current price of £3.99, so wait until Thursday to bag it at a fraction of the cost. Here’s a reminder of why it’s so loved in our household:
