It may only be May, but BE AFRAID, parents. The Summer Holidays are edging closer and closer, with six weeks to fill with stimulating, fun activities for your children.

(Or, frankly, anything that will stop them from being bored for a few hours at a time.)

Here’s an app that looks like it may help – but will also be useful all year round. It’s called Little – Raise Happier Kids, and it’s a quick way to get suggestions for “age-appropriate activities, videos & story ideas”.

All you have to do is tap in the age of the child you’re trying to entertain – you can create profiles for several children in the app – and Little will serve up ideas in one of those three categories.

We like the idea of millions of story ideas best of all: “Tell an adventure story about a big chicken who sings in the rain” is one example. When you find something you like, you can bookmark it.

As we said, summer may be crunch time for parental imagination, but this could be a lifesaver at any time of the year. Little is a free download on the App Store for iPhone only.
