Your iPhone may well be a camera for kids, if they’ve discovered its photography capabilities. But educational technology firm LeapFrog has a new app that aims to make it even better for them.
It’s called Creativity Camera, and was released for iPhone today. “Strike a goofy pose or pull a silly face for the camera and then personalise photos with fun frames and cool effects,” explains its App Store listing.
So it’s an app for taking photos, and also editing them. It’s a free download that works well as a standalone camera app, but which has extra features when used with LeapFrog’s Creativity Camera Protective Case accessory.
(It’s got a listing on Amazon here in the UK, but isn’t on sale yet.)
If used with the case, the app has two extra modes: PeekABug Catch and Photobooks. The former is a game where your child has to catch flying bugs by matching them to the correct colours. Meanwhile, Photobooks gets them creating photobooks with letters, emotions, shapes and colours.
Creativity Camera is a free download for iPhone from Apple’s App Store. We’ll update this post when the protective case goes on sale, and we know how much that costs.
