Lego Duplo Train app trundles onto iPhone and iPad

Duplo! It’s like Lego but for even younger children! And it’s almost as painful when parents step on it by mistake… We’ve seen our fair share of Duplo bricks thanks to our two boys, and now there’s a new official app for it called Lego Duplo Train.

“Your child will play the role of the train driver - choosing and loading wagons, building bridges, stopping at crossings, refueling and laying new tracks around pesky rocks,” explains its App Store listing.

So a bit like Toca Train, but blockier, you might think. The app is aimed squarely at toddlers, although we suspect slightly older pre-schoolers may get plenty of fun out of it.

This being made by Lego, there are no in-app purchases, links to websites or third-party advertising on board. Lego Duplo Train is a free download for iPhone and iPad.
