Chuggington! Chugga-chugga-chugga etc etc. That’s today’s song for your internal jukebox then. And if your kids love the Chuggington TV show, we’ve got some good news to go with it.
StoryToys, whose pop-up book-apps we’ve often admired over the last couple of years, has released an official app for Wilson, Brewster, Koko and their train-track friends.
It’s part story, narrated by the new chief of Chug Patrol Jackman, with a mixture of text and pop-up scenes. But there are also mini-games and interactive bits, from clearing logs off the track or catching runaway wagons to rescuing Koko from a collapsing mine tunnel or cleaning trains in the Chug Wash.
There’s lots to read and do, with the familiar characters from the world of Chuggington. And young fans will be particularly pleased by the option to earn Chug Patrol badges for their progress.
Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue costs £2.99 / $4.99 for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store. It’s also available on Android for £3.99, and on the Amazon Appstore too. Here’s a video demo:
