Toca Boca’s Toca Builders launching on Android this Thursday

Great news for Android-owning parents: Toca Boca has announced that its Toca Builders app will be launching on the Google Play store this week.

“You’ve been waiting and now they’re here! #TocaBuilders is launching on Google Play this Thursday, Sept 26!” tweeted the company this evening.

Toca Builders came out for iPhone and iPad in June this year. Inspired (a little) by Minecraft, it was an app for children to craft their own blocky mini-worlds with the help of six robots.

“It was quite a big risk for Toca Boca making a more complicated app for children, but it’s a risk that’s paid off in spades. This simplifies and makes accessible the construction play that’s made Minecraft such a hit among older children, while keeping Toca Boca’s signature charm intact,” is how we reviewed it at the time.

Toca Builders will join Toca Kitchen and Toca Hair Salon 2 on Android. Here’s a video showing its charms:
