Here’s an interesting thing from LeapFrog, the educational technology company that’s been moving into apps from its background in learning gadgets.
It’s called LeapFrog Learning Path, and it launched today for iPhone and iPad as an app promising to help parents “support your child’s learning with personalised ideas, fun activities and expert advice”.
What does that mean? “New ideas each week tailored to your child’s learning stage, from infancy through 3rd grade,” according to its App Store listing. “Hundreds of activities, printables, articles, videos, tips and discussions will keep your child progressing and having fun.”
There are also social features to connect parents with one another, as well as with teachers and LeapFrog’s education experts. It’ll even email you when your children make progress in LeapFrog-connected devices.
It all ties in to the existing Learning Path website, although for now the app is US-only as far as we can tell.
LeapFrog Learning Path is a free download for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store.
