Have you seen it yet? The John Lewis Christmas ad, with the Bear and Hare? It’s been causing quite a stir, and now there’s an official app for it on iPhone, iPad and Android.

It’s called Bear and Hare, and it’s an animated storybook-app telling the tale from the advert (which, if you’re still blissfully unaware, involves a bear who’s never seen Christmas for hibernating-related reasons, and his mate the hare).

Right now, the app tells that story, with voice narration from DJ and presenter Lauren Laverne. But its App Store listing encourages you to “look out for updates throughout the lead up to Christmas”, so there may be more features to come.

Bear and Hare is a free download for iPhone and a free download for iPad (separately) from Apple’s App Store, and also a free download for Android from the Google Play store, although as far as we can tell, it’s only available here in the UK.
