Ziggy Marley has been making music for most of his life – as one of Bob Marley’s children, that may not surprise you. But now he’s making apps too! Well, sort of.
Ziggy has teamed up with publisher Oceanhouse Media (who you may know from their Dr. Seuss apps) for an app called I Love You Too, based on his Family Time album from 2009.
The name should be a clue: that album was for kids, and it even won a Grammy award for Best Musical Album for Children. One of its songs, I Love You Too, forms the basis of the new app.
“Explore pictures, learn new vocabulary, and personalise the story with your own narration,” explains its app store listing. “Complete with a sing-a-long and narration by Ziggy himself, your whole family will be singing ‘I Love You Too’ when you dive into this interactive book app.”
Oceanhouse says the app is aimed at 3-8 year-olds, and includes its signature features like voice narration, highlighted words and the ability for children to record their own singing and share it with friends and family.
I Love You Too - Ziggy Marley costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store, and £1.85 for Android devices on the Google Play store.
