We were impressed with the Ben 10 Slammers game that came out in August, but if your children are champing at the bit for new Ben 10 apps, we’ve got some good news today.

It’s a brand new game called Wrath of Psychobos - Ben 10 Omniverse, released this week for iPhone, iPad and Android. It lets kids control both Ben and Rook from the TV show, adventuring through 31 levels in a quest to save the galaxy.

Naturally, there are some villains trying to foil them: Dr. Psychobos, Malware, Khyber and others. But the game will see kids unlocking various alien forms for Ben to use – Cannonbolt, Armodrillo, Rath, Bloxx, Eye Guy, Shocksquatch and Arctiguana are the ones mentioned in the app store listing – with an array of weaponry for Rook too.

Something to be aware of: the game also uses “recovery packs and stat boosts” as well as “attack mods” and “advanced tech gear” to help Ben and Rook progress. In-app purchases play a role in this for impatient players, so make sure you’ve had a chat with your children about responsible behaviour on this front.

Wrath of Psychobos - Ben 10 Omniverse costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store, and £1.99 for Android from the Google Play store.
