Developer TribePlay is building quite a following for its series of Dr Panda apps, covering everything from airports and beauty salons to restaurants and supermarkets.
The latest app takes things back home: Dr Panda’s Home, to be specific. It’s a playful app about household chores, from mopping the floor and stacking the dishwasher to looking after rabbits and brushing teeth.
Along the way, children can buy in-game items like saxophones and rockets, but the twist is that no in-app purchases are required – instead, they spend virtual coins earned from finishing the game’s other tasks.
There are more than 20 mini-games to play, with an array of cutesy animal characters featured. And if your kids are already fans of Dr Panda’s apps, you’ll notice a difference this time round: spangly 3D graphics. The animals and scenery now look more like a console game than a simple 2D app.
Dr Panda’s Home costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store, and £1.79 for Android on the Google Play store. Who knows, it may even encourage your little animals to take more of an interest in the household chores. Well, we’re optimists…
