Is a Fraggle Rock app really for children, or for the parents who grew up with the TV show and are nostalgic for their youth?

I ask because Apps Playground co-founder Alice is currently beaming from ear-to-ear after five minutes playing with Fraggle Rock Music Maker, a new iPhone and iPad app from Playtales.

But yes, it’s supposed to be for children: a way to make music with Gobo, Red, Wembley and the other characters from Fraggle Rock. That includes a main “jam session” with all the characters, as well as individual sections focused on the characters, including Wembley’s drum kit.

Fraggle Rock Music Maker costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store, although there’s also a free version where you can try a limited section of the app.
