Excellent news for young British fans of children’s TV network Nickelodeon: its Nick app for iPhone and iPad is now available in the UK.
The app offers a mixture of videos, animations, polls, games and full episodes of popular shows. Those featured include SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sam & Cat, Monsters vs. Aliens, Fairly Odd Parents, Victorious and iCarly, among others.
Popular Nickelodeon stars like Ariana Grande will be popping up with new videos too, with the idea being that every day kids use the app, there’ll be something new to watch and/or do.
An important note: on launch day, don’t be expecting to watch any Nickelodeon show’s full episodes through the app. At the time of writing, two are available: one episode of Marvin Marvin and one episode of Robot and Monster.
The emphasis is more on the games and short video clips, and there’s a lot to explore with those, although we’re sure more full episodes will be added in the coming weeks and months too.
The US version of the app has been downloaded more than 5m times since its release in February, so we suspect it will be popular here too. Nick is a free download for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store in the UK.

I can finally get to install the nick app
