Google Santa Tracker. It does exactly what it says on the tin: an app made by Google for Android devices to help you track Santa around the world as he delivers presents on Christmas Eve.

It’s actually just the mobile version of the main Santa Tracker website, which went live last week with a countdown until “Santa departs” on his annual journey, and a different interactive treat for each day until then.

So, it’s a whizzy advent calendar, in other words, with the app bringing that to tablets and smartphones. Well, those running Google’s Android software, anyway.

If your children are anything like ours, they’re already bouncing off the walls in frustration that it’s not Christmas yet. We’ve been fending them off (in an affectionate way obviously!) with the CBeebies Advent Calendar, but this offers another option for Android-owning parents.

Google Santa Tracker is a free download for Android from the Google Play store.
