Disney is having a busy end to 2013 with several new apps for children, some of them based on its most famous characters. Mickey Mouse, for example.
His new app is called Mickey Mouse: Mash-Up, and it was released for iPhone and iPad this week. Aimed at children aged six and up, it wants to get them to help Mickey in a series of adventures by… drawing?
Yep, drawing. The app helps them though, providing prompts to draw pictures, then storing them in a gallery. Kids can also record their own sound effects, play mini-games and listen to Mickey Mouse himself narrate the adventures.
It reminds us of a cross between Night Zookeeper Teleporting Torch‘s drawing missions and Dipdap‘s character-based drawing game, and both of those are among our favourite children’s apps of 2013, so that’s good news.
Mickey Mouse: Mash-Up costs £2.49 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store.
