2013 was the year British children’s TV star Justin Fletcher launched a polished range of Justin’s World apps for iPhone and iPad. Just before Christmas, the fourth one came out.

It’s called Justin’s World - Animal Sounds, and is a free download for iPhone and iPad as “a big thanks to everyone who’s supported my first journey into the world of apps” over the year.

It’s good fun too: a collection of cartoon animals, complete with the spellings of their names, and CBeebies star Justin’s impressions of the noises that they make. The idea being that your children copy him and learn the noises.

As with the previous Justin’s World apps, everything is clear and simple enough for pre-schoolers to use alone, although much of the fun comes from using the app together with parents. “Are you ready to sound like a pig, or a lion, or a sheep?” asks the App Store listing. Yes. Yes we are.
