Fantastic animal pyjamas? I want some! Whaddya mean they don’t come in 36 year-old man-size? Bah… But these pyjamas play a key role in a new series of apps from developer Ink Robin.
The three PJ’s PJs apps star a boy named Percival Jenkins who owns 329 pairs of magical animal pyjamas, and travels the world having adventures with the animals emblazoned on them.
The first sees PJ travel to South America wearing his anteater PJs, finding out about their habits in the main story, before showing an educational fact-sheet at the end.
The second does the same thing, but swaps in Australia and koalas, while the third focuses on giraffes. We’re impressed with Ink Robin’s ambition: presumably if the apps catch on, they have 326 more animals in mind…
We really like the illustration style in these apps, and this is also one of the children’s apps that offers voice narration in a British accent, which may appeal to parents on this side of the pond.
PJ’s PJs – Giraffes! may be the app to start with, since it’s a free download for iPhone and iPad. PJ’s PJs – Anteaters! costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad, while PJ’s PJs – Koalas! also costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad.
