Apps are tailor-made for a crossover between music and stories, and we’ve seen a fair few try the idea. The latest is Little Lost Note.
Released by developer Box of Frogs Media, it tells the tale of its heroine, Little Lost Note, on a journey to find her missing instrument while exploring the world.
It looks a lovely world too: the story is told through hand-drawn illustrations and characterful animations, with lots of things to tap on for children of varying ages. There are also the now-standard choices of Read to Me or Read by Myself, with voice narration for kids who can’t read yet.
And music? That plays a prominent role too, both playing in the background and as a specific interactive activity: kids can play the piano, guitar or trumpet, with a “dual-play” option for two children (or, of course, a child and a parent) to enjoy the fun together.
Little Lost Note costs £1.99 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store.
