What are your children’s favourite apps? Marketing company SuperAwesome asked nearly 1,000 kids this question in March 2014 in a survey, and the results are above.
We spotted it in the Instagram feed of Michael Acton Smith, boss of Mind Candy – the company behind Moshi Monsters. We assume it was being presented at a conference.
Caveat: “kids” is a pretty wide definition in this study, since the children were between six and 18 years old: this isn’t a sign that pre-teens are all using Instagram, Facebook and SnapChat, in other words.
Another caveat: “Flappy Bird was removed as 80% of kids gave that as answer,” said Acton Smith in a comment on his Instagram snap. Which sounds quite unfair, although we assume the removal was to ensure it didn’t swamp the other app titles in this kind of graphic.
Update: SuperAwesome has tweeted an image if Flappy Bird had been left in, to show this. Blimey:
