And not just those infamous Disney arch-villains. Maleficent – star of Disney’s next big movie – and Captain Hook are joined by Cruella de Vil in Disney’s latest app for kids.
It’s called Disney Villains Challenge, and was released last week for iPhone and iPad. It’s a collection of 18 diverting mini-games.
“Tap, swipe, and shake as fast as you can to spread happiness,” explains the App Store listing. “Test your reflexes and resolve with 5 levels of villainy!”
Disney Villains Challenge is a freemium game, but not the kind of one that gets your children to spend money on virtual items.
The initial (free) download includes six mini-games: two for each villain. Your children will be painting Maleficent’s castle and dressing her henchmen in “happy hats”, playing Roger’s piano and freeing a dalmation in Cruella’s games, and reshaping Captain Hook’s hook and brushing a crocodile’s teeth.
If you want to upgrade to unlock all 18 mini-games, it’ll cost you £1.99 in a single in-app purchase. Try before you buy, which we think is a pretty parent-friendly model as apps go.
Disney Villains Challenge is a free download for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store.
