Good old Hugless Douglas: he’s the star of a well-loved series of children’s books, and now a theatrical play too. But have you seen his latest app?

It’s called Hugless Douglas Sticker Activity App, and was released this week for iPhone and iPad by publisher Hachette.

“Douglas – the big bear with the big heart – and his friends want to share their favourite activities with you,” explains its App Store listing.

That means creative activities including digital stickering, colouring and drawing, as well as solving puzzles.

“Bursting with fun and educational activities like Learn to draw Douglas, Spot the Difference, Match the stickers to the shapes, Find the letters, Count the sheep, Complete the jigsaw, Colour the characters, Tell the Hugless Douglas story with your stickers, and many, many more,” as the burb puts it.

There are 200 stickers included in the app for children to create their own scenes. And if you have a Wi-Fi-capable printer, you can print them out direct from your device (if not, parents can save them to the Camera Roll then email them).

It looks good fun. Hugless Douglas Sticker Activity App costs £1.49 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store.
