We’ve just been writing about Bloomsbury’s latest Fairy Activity app, which features lashings of pink. If blue is more your child’s colour – we’re being careful not to divide this into boys and girls, mind – the publisher’s other new app may be more appealing.

It’s called Bloomsbury Things That Go Activity, and is all about vehicles. “Have fun with cars, tractors, diggers and planes, and all the other amazing things that go,” explains its App Store listing.

“Spot the difference between the diggers, find out where the buses and cars are going, draw, colour and sticker your very own things that go scenes and stories, and many more exciting activities.”

Like the fairy app, it’s a mixture of creativity and simple, accessible mini-games, with lots of animation and sound to keep young children interested. Bloomsbury Things That Go Activity costs £2.99 for iPad from Apple’s App Store.
