Are your children fans of Stampy Cat? If they’re a certain age and play Minecraft, they almost certainly are: the Stampy channel has become one of the most popular YouTube channels in the world.

Now it has an app. Stampy Cat was released by Maker Studios earlier this week as a convenient way for children to watch the latest Stampy videos on an iPhone or iPad.

“Whether it’s his very popular Let’s Play videos from Minecraft or his quests the official Mr. Stampy app delivers it all to you,” explains its App Store listing.

“The main feed of the app gives you easy access to the latest and most popular videos from Stampy. You can add sections and personalize your feed. If Stampy’s Lovely World is your favorite show just navigate to the Shows page and click the blue plus sign and that show will now appear in your feed.”

The app also helps children watch videos “uninterrupted” in a playlist, and share videos with friends through other apps on the device – note, parental involvement may be required here.

We think this will be a very popular download, especially for parents whose children have been monopolising their computer watching Stampy videos. Which, considering his videos were watched 183 million times in October alone, is quite a few people.

Stampy Cat is a free download for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store. And here’s a taster of Stampy’s work, if you’re new to it:
