We love Sarah & Duck, we do. It’s a lovely animated TV show that’s shown on preschool channel CBeebies here in the UK, telling the tales of heroine Sarah and her pet duck, er, Duck.
Now there’s an app for it, released by BBC Worldwide for iOS and Android devices. It sees the intrepid duo heading to their local park for some fun interactive activities for your children to play.
“You can play hide and seek with Duck, create, decorate and fly your own unique kite, feed the hungry ducks, help Umbrella avoid the puddles and then build your very own park,” explains its app store listing.
Like the show, the app is aimed at 2-6 year-olds, with each of the mini-games designed to be easy to pick up and play for a small child – although that doesn’t mean they won’t want you to be there enjoying it with them.
We like the park designer section best: an animated digital stickerfest where you create a park using the elements provided. But creating then flying a kite is also very fun.
Sarah & Duck – Day at the Park costs £2.99 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store, and £2.99 for Android devices from the Google Play store.
