You know you’ve got too many teddy bears when you can’t see your duvet any more. You know you’ve got Too Many Teddy Bears, though, when you’ve downloaded it from the App Store.
It’s the latest app from developer StoryToys, offering a colourful collection of learning games for pre-school children.
The star, apart from the teddies, is a little girl called Maddy. She introduces the bears, each of whom has their own mini-game to play.
“Kids can: count ingredients for Chef James Bear’s delicious recipes; Play matching games with The Teddy Twins, Tommy and Tess; Learn about colors and shapes in Candy Bear’s candy factory; Test their memory skills when Beardini the Magician makes things disappear; Search for hidden objects with Detective Sherlock Bear and his trusty dog Watson; Help Billy Builder Bear put the parts together to build some fun toys,” explains its App Store listing.
With skills tested including letter identification, matching, number identification, counting and shape recognition, it’s a graceful attempt to stretch your children’s grey matter, but with the emphasis remaining firmly on fun.
Too Many Teddy Bears costs £2.49 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store.
